Our Expertise
Practical competence for complex industrial challenges.
AKOSALUS expertise is built on the team’s practical experience in implementing and supporting industrial projects and working with process equipment manufacturers, engineering organizations and industrial enterprises.
We deliberately do not define our specialization by the name of a single industry or a particular type of equipment. The industrial challenge — and the search for a technically and economically feasible route to solve it — remains at the centre of our work.
The team’s experience includes projects and cooperation with enterprises, equipment manufacturers and technology partners in Belarus, Russia, China and European Union countries.
01
Industrial Consulting
We become involved when an enterprise is considering modernization of existing production, introduction of a new technology, equipment replacement or development of a new production direction.
The work may begin before a procurement specification exists. At this stage, it is important to define what the enterprise actually needs, which solutions are available, how applicable they are under specific conditions and which technical constraints must be considered before design and equipment procurement begin.
Analysis of source technical data and existing process schemes
Development of modernization concepts
Technical comparison of alternative solutions
Preparation of process-equipment requirements
Review of manufacturer proposals
Identification of technical discrepancies and project risks
Participation in technical negotiations
Support for technology and equipment selection
Coordination between equipment manufacturer, Client and engineering organizations
Our task at this stage is not to sell a predetermined solution, but to help determine which solution the enterprise actually requires.
02
Technology Adaptation
Equipment that operates successfully at one plant or in one country cannot always be installed unchanged in another production environment.
Raw materials, capacity, existing infrastructure, automation, electrical networks, structural constraints, industrial safety requirements and operating conditions may all differ. This is especially important when working with international equipment manufacturers.
AKOSALUS supports the adaptation of technology solutions to a specific enterprise. This includes analysis of equipment characteristics, performance and operating modes, feedstock and product requirements, connection points, layout constraints and interaction with the existing production process. Specialist experts, engineering organizations and equipment manufacturers are involved when required.
03
Process Equipment
The team has practical experience with equipment and technology solutions for heavy industry. Our competence includes:
Size reduction and raw-material preparation
Sorting and separation
Belt, pipe, screw and other conveying systems
Material dosing and feeding
Alternative-fuel preparation lines
Thermal process equipment
Dedusting, gas cleaning and auxiliary process systems
Process monitoring and automation systems
When selecting equipment, we examine not an isolated machine but its role in the process chain: what enters it, which result is required, how it interacts with neighbouring units and what the enterprise will need for operation.
04
Cement Industry & Alternative Fuels
One area of the team’s practical experience is cement production and the introduction of alternative fuels, including RDF preparation and feeding systems for cement manufacturing.
Such projects require many connected questions to be solved together: feedstock preparation, size reduction, removal of unwanted inclusions, conveying, intermediate storage, dosing, fuel feeding, integration with the existing kiln system and process automation.
The team has experience in technical work with equipment manufacturers from China and Europe, review of proposed solutions and their adaptation to the requirements of operating cement plants. A further competence is complex conveying systems, including pipe belt conveyors and equipment for alternative-fuel transport.
05
Glass Industry
Melting furnace → forming area → feeders → glass-forming machines → product treatment → conveying → auxiliary systems
Another area is the technological modernization of glass production. Work with such facilities requires an understanding not only of individual equipment but of the complete process relationship.
The team’s competence includes review of technical solutions for glass-production modernization, interaction with suppliers of furnace and auxiliary equipment, and development of process-utility and control-system requirements.
Particular attention is paid to interfaces between new equipment and existing production, since these points often contain the project’s principal technical risks.
06
Raw Materials & New Technologies
Raw material → research → technology → equipment → product → producer → market
We consider industrial raw materials not only through their traditional uses. In some cases, an existing natural or secondary resource may become the basis of a product with a significantly higher level of processing and added value.
One direction under evaluation is the advanced processing of peat-based raw materials. Certain peat types may be considered not only as fuel but also as a source of humic and fulvic substances for humic products, organomineral formulations, fertilizer components, soil conditioners and biostimulant applications.
Research institutes, laboratories, technology companies and potential producers of the final product may be involved in such projects. We see this as a distinct area of work: identifying new industrial applications for existing resources.
07
International Technologies & Partnership
A modern industrial challenge is rarely limited to the capabilities of one market. The required technology may be located in Germany, the equipment manufactured in China, the raw material located in Belarus and the potential market for the final product situated in another region.
AKOSALUS can participate in the search for technology partners and equipment manufacturers, initial technical assessment of their capabilities, organization of negotiations, comparison of proposals and adaptation of solutions to the requirements of a specific project.
We do not view international partnership as simple brokerage between seller and buyer. Our task is to ensure that one party’s technology can actually solve the other party’s industrial challenge.
08
Owner's Engineering
A complex industrial project may involve the Client, technology supplier, several equipment manufacturers, design organization, construction contractors and automation specialists. Each is responsible for its own scope, while technical issues often arise at the boundaries between participants.
AKOSALUS can act as the Client’s technical representative when working with suppliers and other project participants. We review proposed solutions, prepare technical questions, monitor equipment compliance with the initial requirements, participate in change alignment and help the Client understand the consequences of technical decisions. Independent specialist experts and organizations are involved where required.
09
Science & Industry
Not every new industrial challenge has a ready commercial solution. When an idea requires research, raw-material analysis, laboratory testing or development of a new process, AKOSALUS can organize cooperation between the industrial enterprise and research institutes, technology institutes, laboratories and sector specialists.
For us, a scientific organization is not a formal consultant but a source of competence required to move from an idea to an industrially validated solution. Combining practical industrial experience, manufacturer technologies and scientific expertise makes it possible to work on challenges for which the market does not yet offer a ready answer.
Our Role
We do not claim that every competence required by a complex industrial project must sit within one company. AKOSALUS determines which knowledge and participants are required for a particular challenge, engages suitable specialists and organizations, and helps organize their joint work. This allows us to support assignments of different scale — from an independent review of one technical proposal to development and implementation support for a new technology concept.
Bring us an industrial challenge — we will help find a route to its solution.
