Industries

Different processes. One requirement: an implementable technical route.

AKOSALUS works with industries in which materials, thermal processes, equipment and production interfaces must operate as one system. Our role is to understand the process context, identify the critical points and bring the necessary technologies and participants together around the Client’s task.

Industry knowledge with a technology-neutral approach

Each industry has its own process language, operating risks and quality criteria. We do not start with a predetermined supplier. We begin with the required result, examine the existing production environment and form the technical basis on which technologies, equipment and implementation partners can be evaluated.

01

Cement & Alternative Fuels

Cement production, material handling and industrial RDF

Cement production combines continuous thermal operation, demanding material flows and strict requirements for process stability. Alternative fuels add further variability: composition, moisture, particle size, contaminants and feeding behaviour must be reconciled with the requirements of the kiln and the existing plant.

Typical technical tasks

Raw-material and fuel handling · RDF receiving, shredding and separation · storage and fire-safety logic · enclosed conveying · dosing and controlled kiln feeding · equipment and supplier evaluation · interfaces with the existing production line · modernization concepts and implementation support

Our focus

A stable process chain rather than a set of separate machines — from material characteristics and preparation to controlled feeding, automation and plant interfaces.

02

Blended Fertilizers & Raw-Material Components

Potash, mineral and peat-based components

Complex and blended fertilizers require more than combining available raw materials. The formulation must be translated into a reproducible industrial process that accounts for dosing accuracy, moisture, particle-size distribution, compatibility, flowability, storage and the required product properties.

Typical technical tasks

Raw-material characterization · preparation of potash, mineral, organic and peat-based components · dosing and mixing · granulation · drying and cooling · screening and recycle · coating and product stabilization · storage and packaging · quality criteria and scale-up

Our focus

Connecting the intended product specification with a feasible process, suitable equipment and a controlled supply chain for the required components.

03

Glassmaking

Batch preparation, melting and production modernization

Glass production depends on the continuity and coordination of batch preparation, cullet handling, furnace charging, melting, conditioning and auxiliary systems. Modernization must be integrated into an operating plant while protecting product quality and production continuity.

Typical technical tasks

Batch-house and cullet systems · weighing, mixing and conveying · furnace charging · melting furnaces and forehearths · process utilities · combustion and heat-recovery interfaces · control systems · auxiliary equipment · integration of supplier packages into existing production

Our focus

Technical concepts, equipment requirements and interface coordination for modernization or introduction of new technology without losing sight of the complete production process.

04

Sewage Sludge Treatment & Thermal Utilization

From wet residue to a controlled treatment route

Sewage sludge is a variable material with high moisture content and environmental constraints. A responsible solution begins with characterization and mass balance, then evaluates mechanical treatment, drying, thermal processing and the final route for energy, emissions and mineral residues.

Typical technical tasks

Sludge characterization · dewatering and drying · storage, odour control and transport · preparation for thermal treatment · incineration or co-processing where technically and legally justified · heat recovery · flue-gas cleaning · emissions control · ash handling, utilization or compliant disposal

Our focus

A complete and verifiable treatment chain with clear environmental requirements, realistic energy balance and coordinated interfaces between process equipment and infrastructure.

What connects these industries

Material variability · continuous production · complex equipment interfaces · technology and supplier selection · modernization of existing plants · environmental and safety requirements · transition from concept to implementation
